Beginning or End? Prefix Pre = before
The root would be found at the beginning of a word Suffix Affix = join to The root would be joined to the end of the word or joined to the prefix and followed by yet another suffix

Photos = Light Greek Photograph – picture drawn by light
Telephoto – light from far away Find two more words with photo as a prefix or suffix

Greek Graph = to write or draw Photograph – picture drawn by light
Phonograph – machine for writing or recording sound Telegraph – writing from far away

Greek Tele = far away, distant Television – seeing distant things
Telephone – sound from far away Telescope – device for looking at distant objects

Greek Thesis – Put, place, position Thesis – a position taken in an argument supported by a set of reasons. Theme – an essay or composition on a certain subject with a statement and supporting reasons.

Kinesiology – study of human movement
