is Killing Me! Have more than one address Set rules! 3 options: Do It, Delegate It, Delete It Don’t set up tons of folders, use search folders! Let’s start with everyone’s favorite topic: Use your Cornell NetID only for things that require it. Be cautious when using it to sign up for newsletters, etc; consider if you will need to access item after you leave Cornell and your NetID is deactivated; Have a separate address for official/personal stuff (online banking, shopping, other ) and one for signing up for things you don’t really care about. Set up a couple of folders: One for personal items, one for work, maybe one for each elist (will show unread items). Most items will go to the general “Work” folder and we will find things using search folders instead. Review rules: right-click or select rules – how to set, options Whatever’s left that gets to the inbox, Do it, Delegate it, Delete it. Search folders

What’s Up with Social Media? Policy 1303 (Communication Systems) and 1304 (Acceptable Use Policy) Use good sense Using Social Media isn’t as scary as it can sound. Association policies 1303 and 1304 provide good overview. What’s appropriate while at work: while we don’t routinely monitor network traffic, excessive personal use of social media will be noticed and action may be taken. Personal use of social media should, of course, never interfere with the actual duties you are being paid to do. Unless you are specifically designated to do so by your supervisor/ED, refrain from making statements that may sound like official CCE statements or policies. Even when posting on your personal pages, be aware that you may be associated with CCE and that things that you say may be taken as official positions. If you have any hesitation that what you want to post may be inappropriate, ask first … your supervisor or ED will give you guidance.

Help is available online or contact Your IT Lead for a one-on-one demo Since you are here, you are familiar with the Event Registration system It’s how you registered for Staffapalooza! It has grown and evolved over the years, the on-campus database staff are incredibly helpful and easy to work with. We’ve been using it for camp in Schuyler County – pretty intensive data requirements.
