1 Digital Access This Presentation represents the Digital Access of the students of Varsity College Pretoria

2 How often do you access the internet?
The conclusion of this question would be that every student who filled in my survey does have access to the internet. Unfortunately 4 students only have access to the internet on campus, a lot of factors can play a role in this answer, from the lack of network signal, to the lack of money or even the lack of a device to access the internet on. 5 students answered that they only have access at home which means that they cannot connect to the College’s Wi-Fi.

3 Do you frequently use the internet?
27 out of 30 students frequently use the internet. Not every student is big on social media or messaging apps so that is most probably the reason why 3 out of 30 do not use the internet as frequently as the rest.

4 Do you sometimes need help using the internet?
Due to the background and where some students grew up, I found through this survey and past experiences that not every student knows how to use the internet efficiently. Some of them do need help from time to time.

5 On a scale from 1 to 5, how good are you with surfing the internet?
Not everyone has the same skills when it comes to surfing the web. Some can find what they are looking for within minutes, while others need some help.

6 How do you access the internet?
The most common mean of access is definitely the Smartphone with almost every student on campus having one. Those who do not have a smartphone or internet access will normally use a Tablet, Desktop Computer or Laptop.
