I. The Plan A. Attack Hitler first, once victory is achieved resources can be shifted to the Pacific

II. The Battle of the Atlantic
A. Hitler ordered submarines to attack American ships on the East coast. B. The submarine threat was neutralized by using the convoy system and radar.

III.The Battle of Stalingrad
A. Despite the huge death toll the Soviet victory marked an important turning point in the war. From that point on, the Soviet army began to move westward towards Germany.

IV. Operation Torch The allies defeat troops in North African then attack Italy The Tuskegee Airmen were pilots of the all black 99th Pursuit squad. The squadron made impressive strategic strikes against the Germans throughout Italy.

V. Operation Overlord June became known as D-day. This was the largest land-sea-air operation in army history. The assault forces stormed ashore at 5 points along the coast of Normandy, supported by a great armada and thousands of planes and paratroopers.
