The most important fact about my dinosaur is it was not a dinosaur. Another fact I learned is that fossils have been found in South America. The most special thing about my dinosaur is it had four paddle like flippers.

6 Dilophosaurus By: Nick
This report is about the Dilophosaurus dinosaur whose name means “double crested lizard.” It weighs 650 to 1000 pounds and is about 20 feet long. It eats meat. It has sharp teeth and claws. The most important fact is it walked and ran on two feet. Another thing I learned is it had hallowed bones. The most special thing about my dinosaur is it had a s-shaped neck.

This report is about the Velociraptor dinosaur whose name means “speedy thief.” It weighs 15 to 33 pounds and is 5 to 6 feet long. It eats meat. It has long thin legs and an s-shaped neck. The most important fact is that it was a lightly-built, fast-running, predator with hollow bones and large brains. Another thing I learned is that the Velociraptor’s brain was relatively large in comparison to it body. The most special thing about my dinosaur is the Velociraptor was among the smartest dinosaurs.

8 Pterodactylus By: Mackenzie Burke
This report is about the Pterodactylus dinosaur whose name means “Winged finger.’’ It was a light weighted flying reptile, and had a wingspan of 2.5 – 3.1 feet. It eats fish. It is a carnivore. It has large eyes and a long neck. The most important fact is the skull was about 2.4 inches. Another thing I learned is it wasn`t a dinosaur, but more of a flying reptile. It was built with hollow bones.

9 Syntarsus By: Joah This report is about the Syntarsus dinosaur whose name means “fused or flat ankle.” It weighs about pounds and is 10 feet long. It eats other Syntarsus’ and meat. It has light hollow bones and walks on two legs. The most important fact is that this predator lives in packs. Another thing I learned is Syntarsus eats its own kind. The most special thing about my dinosaur is Syntarsus fossils have been found in Zimbabwe in Africa and in Arizona in the USA.

10 Megaraptor By: Jake This report is about the Megaraptor dinosaur whose name means “Huge robber”. It’s huge, but lightly built, and is feet long. It eats meat. It probably ate anything it could slash and had very sharp teeth. It also had a huge 4th claw. The most important fact is it’s a bird like dinosaur. Another thing I learned is, it’s among the smartest dinosaurs. It lived about million years ago.

11 Dimetrodon By: Jaedon This report is about the Dimetrodon whose name means “two-measures tooth.” It weighs 550 pounds and is 11.5 feet tall. It eats other relatives and insects. It has sharp teeth and sharp claws. The most important fact is that fossils were found in Texas and Oklahoma. Another thing I learned is that it walked on two legs. The most special thing about my dinosaur is it had a large flap like sail on its back.

12 Ankylosaurus By: Henry
This report is about the Ankylosaurus. It means “fused, stiff, or bent lizard.” It weighs 3-4 tons and is 4 feet tall. It eats plants (herbivore). It has horns on its head and four legs. The most important fact is its tracks were found in Sucre, Bolivia. Another thing I learned is its fossils were found in western United States. The most special thing about my dinosaur is it lived in the late Cretaceous period.

13 Brachiosaurus By: Gregory
This report is about the Brachiosaurus dinosaur whose name means ‘’arm lizard’’. It weighs tons and is 85 feet long. it eats tops of trees. It has four legs. The hind legs were bigger. The most important fact is it had a long neck that it reached things with. Another thing I learned is the Brachiosaurs eggs have been found in other dinosaur nests. Brachiosaurus was first found in the Grand River Valley, Colorado, USA in 1900.

14 Coelophysis By: Emma This report is about the Coelophysis dinosaur whose name means “hollow form.” It was a light dinosaur and is nine feet long. It eats its own kind. It has sharp teeth and has clawed fingers. The most important fact is it ate meat including its own kind. Another thing I learned is it walked on two feet. The most special thing about my dinosaur is the footprint is 4 inches across.

This report is about the Homalocephale dinosaur whose name means “level-headed lizard.” It weighs 95 pounds and is 5 feet long. It eats plants, seeds, and fruit. It has leaf-shaped teeth and large eyes. The most important fact is an almost complete skeleton of Homalocephale was found in Mongolia, in Another thing I learned is Homalocephale walked on two legs, and was not a very fast dinosaur. The most special thing about my dinosaur is Homalocephale may have been a herding dinosaur that lived in small groups in coastal and upland regions. This is not certain since no bone beds of Homalocephale have been found.

This report is about the Apatosaurus dinosaur whose name means “The deceptive lizard.” It weighs tons and is 15 feet tall. It eats plants. It has four legs and a long neck. The most important fact is Apatosaurus’ nostrils were located on the top of its head. Another thing I learned is it got its name because scientists once put the wrong head on it and called it a Brontosaurus .The most special thing about my dinosaur is Apatosaurus’ footprints, called track ways, have been found in Colorado U.S.A. They were a yard wide.
