It was a time when people focused on Roman and Greek classics. It was a time of great discovery in art, science and geography.

Italy Italy’s location on the sea meant it had a regular flow of travelers and traders. It had the benefit of roads and architecture left over from the Roman Empire. It sat on some major trade routes.
