Objectives Today’s Objectives are to:
- Show an understanding of what you will be required to do in section A for the G325 exam. - Describing and evaluating how we have used digital technology in our production work. - Demonstrate how to structure an answer to Q1a

Question Focus Question1(a) will ask you to describe and evaluate your skills development over the course of your production work, from Foundation Portfolio to Advanced Portfolio. The focus is on skills development, and the question will require you to discuss one or two specific production practices. The list of practices to which questions will relate is as follows: Digital Technology Creativity Research and planning Post-production Using conventions from real media texts

Digital technologies Digital technologies are tools that convey information in digital form as letters or numbers. The alternative to digital is analog. Unlike computers, humans perceive information as continuous stream by capturing auditory and visual signals.

If the question was.... “Describe how you have used digital technology in your production work and how you ability to use digital technology for production has improved over time”. What would you write? All Students: 3 Key Points C or Above: 6 Key Points Discuss in pairs and be ready to feedback...

G325 Exam Preparation and Planning Covers Unit G325 ALL STUDENTS: Understand the requirements of the G325 Section A exam. Explain the assessment criteria. Develop and improve your written exam responses. STRETCH & CHALLENGE: 1. Apply key theories to your responses. 2. Produce a Level 4 paragraph. OUTCOMES: 1. Completed Writing Frames for: Digital Technology Representation 2. Annotated Exemplars 3. PEA Examples for: AO1 Key Terms/Theories AO2 Analyse Deadlines: Phase 3 – Construction Main and Ancillary Productions + ISP tasks for weeks 8-14 must be completed by Friday 15th December. Revision You should now spend some time revising the concept of representation: Select 3 key theories of representation. Give 2 examples of how each theory can be applied to ONE of your Main Productions. How else could you apply it to your Media Productions in years 1 & 2? Make a new blog post on your A2 Coursework Blog.
