Our mission: Provide excellent customer service with the highest level of courtesy and respect. Dedicate ourselves to assisting students to navigate through the financial aid process which is critical to educational success. Go “above and beyond” to ensure we have helped our customers achieve their educational goals. Safeguard the institutional eligibility for federal and state student aid programs. If you have questions about the FAFSA application or any additional documents that are required before aid can be awarded please contact our office.

3 Basic Student Eligibility Requirements:
Must have final high school/transfer transcript on file with admissions office Must be enrolled at least ½ time Must be taking courses required for program Must meet satisfactory academic progress requirements Must not be in default on a federal student loan nor in repayment of a federal grant Enrolled by the census date @CWUFinAid

4 REVIEW YOUR AID AWARD on MyCWU,
then… Make a budget for each quarter Accept only the aid you need Reduce offered aid if necessary Never stop looking for and asking about SCHOLARSHIPS Costs to attend might include room & board, transportation/commuting expenses, books & supplies, and other personal, miscellaneous expenses related to your education.

7 TYPES OF FINANCIAL AID:
Gift Aid: does not have to be paid back Tuition Awards Grants Scholarships Self Support: award is either earned through employment or must be paid back after graduation Work Study Loans (Sub, unsub, PLUS) Private loans-bank/credit union

10 Work Study Similar to any other student employment position on campus

SAP is required to maintain eligibility and will be reviewed starting the conclusion of your first quarter of attendance. Complete a Direct Deposit Form at Cashiers Office Barge Hall 104 or online thru your MyCWU portal!

27 Employment Verification
The Federal Government requires that all employees fill out a Form I-9 when they get a job Must show original and current documents to HR One thing from List A or one thing from List B AND C Common documents we see: Your student must have these documents when they move to Ellensburg! List A US Passport List B: Driver License School ID Card List C: Social Security Card Original or Certified Copy of a Birth Certificate
