Pythagorean Triple With right triangles, there are certain sets of numbers which solve the Pythagorean Theorem with whole numbers. These are called Pythagorean Triples. Examples include: 3, 4, 5 5, 12, 13 8, 15, 17 7, 24, 25 You can multiply Pythagorean Triples by any number and still have a Pythagorean Triple.

and if the solution is true, the triangle is a right triangle.
The Converse… This means that if you had all of the numbers, you could plug them into the equation and if the solution is true, the triangle is a right triangle.
