Policy on mandatory reporting obligations strengthened
Additional resources directed to Sexual Assault Program
Third-party investigative services firm appointed to assist with investigations and reduce the response time for Title IX Relationship Violence and Sexual Misconduct complaints
Title IX policies reviewed by independent firm and found to be compliant with all applicable legal requirements

Slide message is good and simple.
Start speaking message by saying we are making a number of policy improvements to better protect our community, especially in the are of Relationship Violence and Sexual Assault. Need to emphasize the importance of a culture change across MSU where we understand that individual actions can affect the whole community. We can’t prevent malfeasance if we turn a blind eye to potential issues just because it’s not our department, college, organization, etc.

I understand that a lot of recent news isn’t what we want to celebrate but this title makes me think of those issues. Even saying “Good News” makes me think of the recent bad news. To set a positive tone, I recommend changing it to something like “Achievements that Support our Mission”. Key is to set the tone for the following speakers and message that what we do helps the academic mission.
For “Flooding and MSU’s Response”, recommend changing to “MSU”s Response to Recent Flooding”.
