First 9 weeks topics were divided to further emphasize tested content, particularly also assessed benchmarks. Civil War & Reconstruction divided into two separate topics: The Civil War Reconstruction Industrialization divided into four separate topics: Rise of Industry Labor Movement Immigration & Urbanization Progressive Era

Also Assessed Benchmarks are Tested!
Some of these changes were made in part to emphasize the importance of teaching the “also assesses” benchmarks that fall under the main umbrella benchmarks. Also Assesses means also tested! EOC items will test these benchmarks! Pay attention to these benchmarks when planning

Mini-Assessments Mini-assessments are EOC style questions to assess and measure student progress throughout the year. They are to be administered using G2D, the district online testing platform. Data should be used by teachers to monitor student progress on an ongoing basis.
