1 General information Love one another, be good Samaritans, help those in distress, and spread the gospel

2 Overview What is Biblepay? How to get our coin?
Guides and technical information

3 What is Biblepay? A cryptocurrency based on the principals of compassion and conscience Biblepay (BBP) has some distinctive features: Spreading the Gospel in Jesus’ name Using a unique ‘Proof of Biblehash’ algorithm (PoBH), which is ASIC and GPU resistant Supports cancer research with ‘Proof of Distributed Computing’ (PoDC) 10% of all generated coins go to Charity Sanctuary (Masternode) governance & monthly self funding budget

4 What is Biblepay: spreading the Gospel in Jesus’ name
Via our website (pool.biblepay.org) Biblepay University (under development): earn BBP by doing multiple-choice tests about Christianity Gospel Links: earn BBP by reading or watching educational Christian links Pay to Preach (P2P) (under development) Via our wallet In-wallet Prayer System: you can ask other Biblepay-users to pray alongside you KJV Bible is compiled into the Biblepay-source: you can read the entire Bible inside our wallet Via Proof of Bible Hash (PoBH) Every time you send or receive a payment, a verse of the Bible is shown.

5 What is Biblepay: Proof of Biblehash (PoBH)
Bitcoin uses something called ‘Proof of Work’ (PoW) to secure their network. Basically, this means that computers worldwide consume energy to try and solve intrinsically meaningless hashes (called mining) in order to find the next block in the blockchain (each block currenly contains 12.5 new BTC, making it appealing to try and find one). Because many miners try to be first to find the next block, this leads to decentralization: one of the cornerstones of cyptocurrency. At Biblepay, we would like to call this kind of mining ‘heat-mining’, since the hashing itself generates a lot of heat. A lot of enery is being generated that -- we argue -- could be used more usefull (we will talk more about this later). Still Biblepay partly relies on this PoW to provide essential security for the network. Our unique PoW algorithm is called ‘Proof of Bible Hash’ (PoBH), and it’s called this because it has the entire KJV Bible compiled into the Biblepay-source. What does this all mean for Biblepay?

6 What is Biblepay: Proof of Biblehash (PoBH)
BIBLEPAY IS ASIC AND GPU RESISTANT! All nodes are full nodes: because the miner needs access to the entire KJV Bible, making the Biblepay algorithms virtually impossible to port to GPU or ASIC mining. Bitcoin is entirely in the domain of ASIC-mining: these are specifically constructed computers that are extremely expensive to buy. For everyday users it has become impossible to mine Bitcoin. Other coins (like Ethereum) rely on GPU-mining. GPU’s are expensive and consume a lot of energy. Unlike Bitcoin, Biblepay can be mined via CPU-mining with profit by anyone with a household computer or an Android-phone: you can mine it today and you can use the electronics you already own. About 10% of our total computational power is in the form of PoBH in order to have a base-level of network-security. Where does the other 90% of our computational power go to?

7 What is Biblepay: Proof of Distributed Computing (PoDC)
We can use our computational power to help cure diseases! “Just as Jesus Heals, Biblepay should investigate the healing aspect, posing the question: What can Biblepay do to heal people?” ~Rob, founder of Biblepay is a Distributed Computing Project that aims to design new proteins, which may ultimately contribute to cures for major human diseases such as: AIDS / HIV Malaria Cancer Alzheimer

8 What is Biblepay: Proof of Distributed Computing (PoDC)
Biblepay aims to be environmentally conscious: we would like to keep the energy consumed by Bitcoin-like ‘heat mining’ (like our PoBH) to a minimum (withouth compromising the network-security of course). So instead of using the majority of our computers clock cycles to solve intrinsically meaningless hashes, we use them to solve difficult computing models involving proteins, helping researchers cure some of the diseases that plague our current world. How does this work?

9 What is Biblepay: Proof of Distributed Computing (PoDC)
Via Proof of Distributed Computing is a project that uses the CPU’s of household computers from all over the world to run algorithms that try to design new proteïns that can help cure deceases like AIDS/HIV, malaria, cancer and Alzheimer Biblepay rewards people that participate in with BBP We call these people ‘Biblepay Researchers’. When you connect your Biblepay-wallet to your account, the Biblepay- network knows that you are participating. One time a day BBP will be rewarded to everyone that is a Researcher according to the amount of work they have done.

10 What is Biblepay: 10% of all generated coins go to Charity
Biblepay is currently sponsoring 200+ orphans each month, and as our value grows, we will be able to help much more people! Possible questions: Where does this 10% come from? How can a decentralized currency decide what charities will be given BBP?

11 What is Biblepay: Sanctuary (Masternode) Governance & Monthly Budget
Biblepay has a feature built-in that enables it to be self-funding and self- governing. Every month a so-called ‘superblock’ is generated by the network. It’s called ‘super’ because it contains way more BBP than a normal block (around 15 million BBP at the time of writing). It contains 20% of the generated BBP for that month. So, for example, if there would be 1 million BBP generated in a month, the superblock would contain BBP and would be distributed via normal blocks (there is a block being generated every 7 minutes). If 10% goes to charity, what is the other 10% being spent on?

12 What is Biblepay: Sanctuary (Masternode) Governance & Monthly Budget
The superblock (20% of the total BBP) contains the following budgets: 10% charity 5% IT (payroll for developers) 2.5% PR (promotion of Biblepay: this tour is being paid from this budget) 2.5% P2P (all ‘peer 2 peer’ related projects) Since Biblepay is decentralized, anyone can create a proposal to receive BBP. If you think you can add value to Biblepay, you can create a proposal in which you explain what you’d like to do and how much BBP you’d like to receive for that. Although Biblepay is decentralized, we still need a way to be able to vote which proposals get funding. In order to be able to do that, we need something we call Sanctuaries.

13 What is Biblepay: Sanctuary (Masternode) Governance & Monthly Budget
Biblepay’s Sanctuaries are a second layer of our network. They add services and additional security to the network. Their most important function is that they have the sole right to vote on the submitted proposals. If a majority votes in favor of a certain proposal, that proposal will get funded in the next superblock. In order to operate a Sanctuary, you need to lock-up 1,550,001 BBP. So owning a Sanctuary is an investment. It also removes BBP from the market, thus increasing the value of the remaining BBP. Currently there are around 200 Sanctuaries on the Biblepay-network All Sanctuaries combined receive 38% of all generated BBP

17 How to get our coin: earn newly generated BBP
The emission of new coins follows the following percentages: 20% goes to superblocks (charity, IT, PR, P2P) 4% goes to PoBH-mining 38% goes to PoDC-mining 38% goes to Sanctuaries You must choose for yourself in which way you want to earn BBP: there are a lot of opportunities. You can also get BBP for free!

18 How to get our coin: earn free BBP
Write letters to our sponsored orphans on pool.biblepay.org Our orphans are looking forward to your letters! If you write a nice enough letter, you will be rewarded with BBP Use the Biblepay faucet We currently have two faucets that give away free BBP: pool.biblepay.org and biblepayfaucet.com Biblepay University (under development on pool.biblepay.org) You can make multiple-choice questionares and recieve free BBP Earn BBP by reading or watching Gospel-links on pool.biblepay.org Click on links to learn more about the Gospel and Christianity in general. If you watch the video’s and read the stories, you will receive free BBP Other ways to get free BBP are being developed!

19 How to get our coin: buy BBP (as an investment)
We are currently trading on the following exchanges: More will follow in the near future

20 How to start Mining (1) Anybody who wants to mine Biblepay needs to use both PoBH and PoDC at the same time, and your wallet needs to be online to be able to receive rewards. Mining of BBP can be done with any computer, and even on Smartphones. There is a special feature for people who only own a smartphone. They don’t need an active wallet to be able to earn BBP. This will be explained later.

32 How to start Mining (5) Install Biblepay
The second component of Biblepay mining is the Biblepay Wallet itself. The Version you need depends on your operating system: Windows: Go to biblepay.org and download the Client/Wallet Ubuntu Linux: Install the biblepay-qt package as explained here: Linux and macOS: Compile the source code from  and compile it on your own. The "doc" Directory on github contains important information about the compiling process. This is only for advanced users!

33 How to start Mining (5) Install Biblepay
After the installation was finished successful, please start the Biblepay Wallet. It should look like this:

34 How to start Mining (6) Staking BBP
In order to get 100% of your rewards, you need to stake some BBP. The reason for this, is that it’s both a counter-measure against botnets and a way to make it harder for BIG miners to start mining BBP. The amount that you need to stake, depends on the amount of work are doing for

35 How to start Mining (6) Staking BBP
Staking BEFORE April : To get the full reward for your work, you need 500BBP per 1 magnitude in your wallet for staking. If you have enough coins in your wallet, then the staking will be done automatically. Important: Per default, the system always tries to stake coins. If you have less coins in you wallet, please open your biblepay.conf and add the following line:  utxoamount=X Replace X with the amount of coins in your wallet that will not be moved away in the next 24 hours. Then restart your Biblepay wallet. Staking after April : Your work in is counted in RAC (Recent Average Credit), a credit system used by itself.* More work will result in more RAC. To get 100% of your work rewarded, you need 20 biblepay coins (bbp) per RAC. The result is called UTXO weight. If you have 10,000 RAC, you would need 200'000 bbp in your Wallet to get the full reward. You can set the amount of staked biblepay coins in your biblepay.conf with "utxoamount=X" (x = amount of coins). Note: Later Biblepay Version will do this automatically.  *for more information, see

36 How to start Mining (6) Connecting Biblepay with Rosetta@home
To be able to connect Biblepay with you need a minimum of 1 BBP in your wallet. On the Biblepay Wallet, click on the Tab "Distributed Computing" to connect your Biblepay Wallet with It takes six blocks before the Biblepay network will accept your CPID.

37 How to start Mining (6) Connecting Biblepay with Rosetta@home
Once you are linked, you can see your data on the bottom of the ‘Distributed Computing’ tab. Your CPID is the identification-number from Your Magnitude is the percentage you have of the total PoDC rewards: the total Magnitude is always So, in this example, the Researcher has 1.7% of all the Research points. Your Task Weight is the percentage of possible rewards you get. This amount depends on your OTXO Weight. Your OTXO Weight is the amount of BBP that you have staked.

38 How to start Mining (6) Connecting Biblepay with Rosetta@home
You can also see your statistics on by entering your CPID

39 Banking the Unbanked: Helping those in third world countries buy groceries with Smartphone Mining
Many people don’t have access to a computer, let alone the resources to leave them on 24/7. What they often do have, is a smartphone. For those people, Biblepay has a special feature: Unbanked Smartphone Mining. You will have a Biblepay Mobile Wallet* and BOINC installed on your phone. Anytime your phone is connected to a charger, it will contribute to and you will be rewarded BBP (no staking is required!). *At this moment we are working on a Mobile Wallet, but for the moment you can use a Paper Wallet to receive your rewards

40 Banking the Unbanked: (1) create Paper Wallet
To create a Biblepay Paper Wallet, go to You will be able to generate a unique Paper Wallet by moving your mouse around
