Dual Credit Mount Si High School has been working to increase “dual credit” opportunities that allow students to earn college credit during high school. The table above illustrates different types of dual credit options available at Mount Si High School.

Advanced Placement (AP)
We offer a range of classes from 9th-12th grade, in cooperation with College Board Classes are taught at Mount Si High School in a traditional classroom College-level curriculum and rigor No Tuition, AP Exam is $104 Students can take as many AP classes and exams as they like All credits may or may not be accepted by the student’s desired degree program College Credit can be earned with a successful test score

AP Seminar Brand new AP course, offered starting in (next year!) Real research into real problems with real solutions Hands on, experiential Student-centered and student choice Open to grades 10-12 Pairs with AP Research (offered starting ) Earn AP Capstone Diploma and/or AP Seminar and Research Certificate

CTE Dual Credit Classes are articulated through local community or technical colleges Classes are taught at Mount Si High School in a traditional classroom College-level curriculum and rigor Tuition is free, but students pay a $46 consortium fee for all classes taken in one school year Students can earn as many CTE Dual Credits as they like All credits may or may not transfer to student’s desired Bachelor’s Degree program after transferring to a four-year college or university Each class taken through the CTE Dual Credit program will automatically be added to the student’s high school transcript and will begin their permanent college transcript if they earn a B or higher and pay the $46 fee

College in the High School (CHS)
Classes are offered in partnership with Eastern Washington University, University of Washington and Bellevue College Classes are taught at Mount Si High School in a traditional classroom College-level curriculum and rigor Tuition is ranges from $40 to $65 per credit hour Students can earn as many CHS Credits as they like All credits may or may not transfer to student’s desired Bachelor’s Degree program after transferring to a four-year college or university Each class taken through the CHS program will automatically be added to the student’s high school transcript and will begin their permanent college transcript When registering, make sure you indicate that you would like to take the CHS version of the class

Running Start Classes offered through local community and technical colleges Transportation is student’s responsibility College-level curriculum and rigor Tuition is free, but students pay for books and fees Students can earn up to 9 credits each year (7 MSHS for ) All credits may or may not transfer to student’s desired Bachelor’s Degree program after transferring to a four-year college or university Each class taken through the Running Start program will automatically be added to their high school transcript and will begin their permanent college transcript
