1 Revelation 22 The Last Words

2 The Deity of Jesus

3 Revelation 22:13,16 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.” Revelation 22:13 “I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things in the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the Bright and Morning Star.” Revelation 22:16

4 Jesus is the Key Person of the Bible
But to you who fear My name The Sun of Righteousness shall arise With healing in His wings… Malachi 4:2a

5 Jesus is the Key Person of the Bible
22 So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying: 23 “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.” Matthew 1: And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment, 28 so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation. Hebrews 9:27-28

6 Jesus is not just a simple teacher, philosopher, or religious leader.
“Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.” Matthew 1:23

7 Jesus is not just a simple teacher, philosopher, or religious leader.
Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Matthew 16:16

8 Jesus is not just a simple teacher, philosopher, or religious leader.
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. John 1:1-2

9 He is the Alpha and Omega
I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.” Revelation 22:13

10 He is the Alpha and Omega
All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. John 1:3 Then comes the end, when He delivers the kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power. 1 Corinthians 15:24

11 He is the Alpha and Omega
15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16 For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. 17 And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. Colossians 1:15-17

12 The Authority of God’s Word

13 Revelation 22:18-19 18 For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; 19 and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

14 God’s power had produced the revelation of His word to man
as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, 2 Peter 1:3

15 People are saved by God’s word
Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. James 1:21

16 People are saved by God’s word
1. The word of God reveals the reality of sin and man’s need of salvation. 2. The word reveals the death of Christ man’s Savior 3. The word reveals God’s plan of salvation

17 The 2nd Coming of Christ

18 Revelation 22:20 He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming quickly.” Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus!

19 The Promise of the Lord 1 “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. 2 In My Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. John 14:1-3

20 The Promise of the Lord “Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming. Matthew 25:13

21 The Invitation of Christ

22 Revelation 22:17 And the Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely.

23 God has always invited the lost to Him
1 “Ho! Everyone who thirsts, Come to the waters; And you who have no money, Come, buy and eat. Yes, come, buy wine and milk Without money and without price. 2 Why do you spend money for what is not bread, And your wages for what does not satisfy? Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good, And let your soul delight itself in abundance. 3 Incline your ear, and come to Me. Hear, and your soul shall live; And I will make an everlasting covenant with you— The sure mercies of David.

24 God has always invited the lost to Him
4 Indeed I have given him as a witness to the people, A leader and commander for the people. 5 Surely you shall call a nation you do not know, And nations who do not know you shall run to you, Because of the Lord your God, And the Holy One of Israel; For He has glorified you.” 6 Seek the Lord while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near. 7 Let the wicked forsake his way, And the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to the Lord, And He will have mercy on him; And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon.

25 God has always invited the lost to Him
8 “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. 9 “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts. 10 “For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, And do not return there, But water the earth, And make it bring forth and bud, That it may give seed to the sower And bread to the eater, Isaiah 55:1-10

26 Lessons For Us Today

27 Lessons For Us Today Christ is the center point of the Bible.
Christ leads mankind to Heaven by obedience. for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.” Luke 19:10

28 Conclusion 1. These last words are profound in their declaration and power in their invitation. 2. The next time the Lord speaks to man, except through His revealed word, will be in the last day.
