Don’t you dare take away our parking!
Local business owners didn’t want to give up parking spaces in front of their businesses despite ample parking lots next to their buildings.
Proposed bike lanes were presented to the Traffic and Transportation Committee. First meeting was unanimously in favor. Local business owners fought back saying they didn’t know about the meeting. Item was removed from City Council agenda and taken back to Committee.

We need Triple Threat Woman! She will connect us!

Triple Threat Woman knew her community needed to be connected through bike lanes.

5. THE BATTLE WHAM! Let’s make a decision !
Triple Threat Woman organized speakers to attend next Committee meeting and speak in favor of bike lanes on 7 blocks of Bolivar St.

A quorum of City Council members were present at the next Committee meeting. Many spoke in favor and in opposition. 3

THE VICTORY
All members of the Traffic and Transportation Committee agreed to not take away parking and add in the bike lanes.
Advisory Bike lanes are born in Jefferson City!
