3. BMC & SHA partnered to get the C20 grant to enhance each of their travel model’s freight modeling capabilities. Here is each model’s coverage area.
BMC – Baltimore metro area + part of Washington area
SHA – State of Maryland + North America

Our model design is similar so we will focus on our Commercial Vehicle Touring Model component. Colin from RSG will take you through the CVTM process. 4

5. Truck Touring Models
Two touring model components:
Freight trucks
Non-freight commercial vehicles
Both build sets of truck tours connecting businesses, distribution centers, and other activity locations
Freight and commercial stops by location and time of day

6. Calibration using ATRI Truck GPS data
One month of ATRI truck GPS data used to provide calibration data
Stops per tours
Tour lengths, etc.
Also useful for understanding movements of heavy trucks in Baltimore
