To explore Belief in the Angels. To assess the relationship the Angels have with humanity. Do Now: In Islam who are four Archangels and what are their jobs? Why is Iblis not considered to be an Angel?

List the qualities that the Angels have. E.g.: They are made from divine light (Nur) so they cannot be seen.

What does this passage in the Quran suggest about the Angels?
And (remember) when your Lord said to the angels: "Verily, I am going to place (mankind) generations after generations on earth." They said: "Will You place therein those who will make mischief therein and shed blood, - while we glorify You with praises and thanks (Exalted be You above all that they associate with You as partners) and sanctify You." He (Allah) said: "I know that which you do not know.“ Quran 2:30 Whilst the angels are obedient to God, they also possess intelligence and reasoning. For instance, the angels wondered about the purpose of the creation of humanity. Following the creation of Adam God taught him the names of all things. He then asked the Angels to name these things but they could not. When Adam spoke and told them the names God commanded that the Angels worship Adam. What does this passage in the Quran suggest about the Angels?
