3 VISION To ensure every child with clubfoot in Tanzania receive timely and quality treatment using PM as a gold standard treatment hence providing them with equal opportunities to lead active and productive lives. MISSION; To ensure all Clubfoot Children in Tanzania have access to quality treatment they deserve within recommended time

4 OBJECTIVES Advancement of clubfoot treatment across Tanzania -promotion -media,quality training sites Development of Best practices for parent education and Community outreach To develop guidelines for best practices for treatment of all clufoot children To develop advocacy strategies to lobby for policy in support of clubfoot treatment at all administrtive levels Initiation of a study to determine Clubfoot incidence rate in the country

6 STRENGH Increased number of clubfoot patients at existing clinics
Expanding /Establishing more clinics Standardized patient records Over 70 providers trained in the PM across the country Local production of braces Mandated free care for children under age five at public/government-supported hospitals Good national dialogue and improving collaboration between Ponseti providers nationally, facilitated by TCCO

8 CHALLENGES Inadequate number of providers, regionally and nationally, trained in PM Insufficient government funding for treatment supplies Lack of governmental policy concerning the treatment of clubfoot Wide-spread poverty, making it difficult for patients to access treatment Stigma associated with clubfoot and lack of general public awareness Insufficient data on clubfoot in certain regions and zones Difficulties with data collection and communication from remote clinics Administrative support exceeds current need Providers working in isolation without opportunities to learn, share, and collaborate

9 FUTURE PLANS FOR TCCO To be SUSTAINABLE Link with MOH and the Gorvenment in General Ensure PM is gold standard for treatment- curiculums,trainings, Increase community awareness of clubfoot and its treatment
