2. We want to help the environment.
We have lots of ideas.
We work together to help the environment and keep our school tidy.
This is called Eco-Schools.

3. We make a plan with our ideas.
Then we work together on projects.
We have fun and learn about the environment.
We can get a Green Flag for our school for our work.
A Green Flag tells everyone that we are working to help our environment.

4. Here are some of the things we do for Eco-Schools.
We teach others not to litter.
Our teachers take us on a Clean Up to keep our school tidy.

5. We recycle.
We compost.
We reuse things when we can.

6. We take care of our school.
We take care of our community.

7. We take care of animals and plants.
We make places for animals to live in our school grounds.

8. We save energy when we can.
We learn about different kinds of energy.

9. We save water when we can.
We help keep water clean.
We learn about where our drinking water comes from.

10. We learn about different ways to travel.
We learn how our food travels to the shops.

11. We learn about keeping ourselves healthy.
We take care of our friends.
We know taking care of the environment helps to keep us healthy.

12. We learn about where food comes from.
We grow food in our garden.
We try food from other countries.

13. We learn about children in other countries.
We learn about what we can do about climate change.
We share our ideas.

14. We share our work with our friends at assembly.
We tell them about what we have done.
We ask them for their ideas.

15. Lots of people do Eco-Schools, just like me.
They live in 67 countries.
There are more than 19 million people doing
Eco-Schools.
Lots of schools in Scotland do Eco-Schools, just like mine.

16. We learn about the Global Goals.
The Global Goals are important work to make the world better for everyone.
We are helping.

17. Keep Scotland Beautiful is a charity.
They help teach people about the environment.
They ask people not to litter.
Keep Scotland Beautiful helps us with our Eco-Schools work.
