11 When you counter argue... You consider a possible argument AGAINST your own thesis/opinion. You first TURN AGAINST your own opinion You then RETURN to your own argument to defend it This all occurs within 1 or 2 sentences

Thesis: The recent wolf hunt was an unnecessary measure to reduce the wolf population in Minnesota. (STATEMENT) COUNTER ARGUMENT: “Many people believe that the wolf population has increased and wolves have become a problem to the residents of Minnesota.”
