2 Why PickMe? Mentoring about college and the road towards it
Target: disadvantaged minority high school students Make college education accessible and affordable Open doors of new opportunities Enrich the new generation

3 Project Goals Target 2 schools
2-3 students each from 10th to 12th grade Provide aid in: College applications Homework SATs / ACT and regents exams Partner with organizations: NY Cares, Kaplan, public libraries, etc. Launch program in Fall 2009

4 Time Table Summer 2009: Find and contact one or two schools
Decipher specific needs Work out a budget Recruit volunteers and trainers Spread the word
