Telecom Transmission Solutions Ethernet over E1 (FE1) Product Presentation Updated: 29 April, 2010
2
Product Overview Ethernet over E1 (FE1) Converter provides the user a facility to transport Ethernet (multiple LANs) over an E1 link. Compact and Low cost. Converts and transports Ethernet over an E1 link. The device can effectively utilize the redundant bandwidth of telecom operators' existing TDM network to transport Ethernet data with low investment. Power Input options: 220V AC and -48V DC. Provides 120 Ohms – RJ45 and 75 Ohms - BNC E1 interface in the same box (user selectable). Plug and Play.
3
Features and Highlights
The maximum transmission rate of Ethernet data over E1 links is Mbit/s. Supports 1600 frames, accordance with Interior Switching Link (ISL) Protocol. Supports unframed, framed and multi-framed E1 transmission mode. Supporting local E1 port loop-back. Ethernet Port is self-adaptive to crossover (Straight / Parallel) cables to avoid the trouble of re-wiring. Ethernet negotiation function. Supports 10M/100M and working modes of both full-duplex and semi-duplex. Transparently transmits ultra-long frames stipulated in IEEE 802.1Q and supports Ethernet switches with VLAN function. Transport the DATA transparently (No configuration required). Visual alarms (LEDs) on front panel.

Features and Highlights
Imbedded, dynamic Ethernet MAC address list (1024 addresses) and filter function for local data frames. Can support multiple LANs of different network addresses. Power Input options: 220V AC and -48V DC. Supports fractional E1. E1 Bandwidth can be adjusted from 64 Kbps to 2048 Kbps and selected in N*64Kbps format. Provides 120 Ohms – RJ45 and 75 Ohms - BNC E1 interface in the same box (user selectable). Configurable Ethernet port speed (10 /100) and mode (Half / Full Duplex). Ethernet port mode status (LEDs). Plug and Play. Low power consumption.

Applications This equipment may be used for the following purposes:
Bridging Ethernet LANs over existing TDM (E1) telecom network. Extending Ethernet Networks utilizing TDM (E1) landline based telecom infrastructure. Using telecom network of E1s / PDH / SDH Microwave etc. Carrying E1s to transport Ethernet data. In all these cases, the equipment will be always installed and used in pairs, with one terminal being installed at either end (each side) of the network.
