What is the RJM??

3. What is the RJM
The Resource Justification Model (RJM) is a budget formulation and allocation system that will allow state agencies to request the administrative resources they need to operate their respective Unemployment Insurance (UI) programs. The RJM software will assist states in compiling information needed as input for the model. The system will also provide the National and Regional Offices a compatible automated process to review and analyze the states’ information in order to formulate the annual budget request.

Due at the end of January based on September 30 expenses
RJM submission due this January will determine funding for FY 18 year
If we are submitting RJM for end of Sept This will determine Funding for FY18

Are you monitoring your time charges to ensure people are charging correctly?

PS Cont. - This is where you can convert contractual cost to PS Activities. Only convert if the activity would be done if you had the staff to preform the activity.

6. Helpful Tips Accounting System Setup Microsoft Access Database
Do you have your staff charging correctly?
You need special codes to determine the type of UI functions along with ways to determine IT Cost.
In MS we use Microsoft Access Database and take information out of our accounting system and create relationships to cost categories to prepare the RJM.
