1 MODULES AND INDICATORS
The Framework consists of 7 different modules, of which a selection will be relevant for all signatories. At a minimum, signatories will be required to complete the following modules: Organisational Overview, Strategy and Governance, and Closing Module. Within each module, there are a number of indicators that you must complete and other, voluntary indicators. ORGANISATIONAL OVERVIEW DECIDES APPLICABLE MODULES: The first module you must complete defines which additional modules are relevant for your organisation. For example, if you report in Organisational Overview that your main business area is engagement services, the module Active Ownership Services will be unlocked for you to report on. 2 4 OPTIONAL MODULES There are four modules in the Framework that are specialised for specific business areas: Advisory and Consultancy: Asset consultants, executive and advisory, sustainability consulting Reporting: Assurance/certification, reporting Research and Data provision: ESG Research, assessment, rating and brokerage Active Ownership Services: Engagement and voting If your organisation does not identify with any of the above four service provider categories, there is space in the framework for you to report on your other business activities, primarily in Organisational Overview, Strategy and Governance, and Closing Module. 1. 3 OVERVIEW PAGE This page in the online tool displays an overview of the modules that you must complete, and provides you with information regarding indicators within each module. Status of module completion Find your reports & set your preferences to view Mandatory/Voluntary indicators, and whether to make Voluntary indicators public by default. Overall completion of the framework Filter indicators Download Private RI report will both Private and Public responses Download your Public Transparency Report with all public responses provided so far Download Data Collection Form to share with colleagues Mandatory or Voluntary, or Mandatory to report, Voluntary to disclose Status of indicator Purpose of indicator: Gateway or Descriptive

4 INDICATOR DETAILS PURPOSE STATUS DISCLOSURE LEVEL MANDATORY
Mandatory indicators reflect core practices. These responses will be made public should you wish to disclose your Transparency Report during the 2017 pilot year, and must be completed to submit the framework. MANDATORY TO REPORT, VOLUNTARY TO DISCLOSE Some indicators are mandatory to complete, but voluntary to disclose. These indicators may contain commercially sensitive information. VOLUNTARY Voluntary indicators reflect alternative or advanced practices. These indicators are voluntary to report and disclose.

6 NAVIGATING BETWEEN INDICATORS
After saving an indicator, you can navigate around the Framework in 3 different ways Move to other modules Move to other indicators Save before proceeding Move to the next indicator
