Prayer Ministry
2
Mission An effective leader will help the church recognize prayer is a vehicle essential to the life of Christian discipleship. The church as a whole will become stronger in the spiritual practice of prayer. The church will be led by God’s Spirit in fulfilling the mission of making disciples for the transformation of the world.

Purpose of Prayer Ministry
Enhance a growing and healthy spiritual prayer life and lead others in the same manner. To collaborate with other members to coordinate the planning and implementation of a comprehensive prayer ministry for CACNA Youth Ministry. Importance of Prayer We are not the first to struggle with the issue of prayer- its application, purpose and importance. The disciples had the same struggle that they asked the Lord to teach them how to pray. It interests me to know that when Jesus was to teach the disciples how to pray, He did not give them a lecture but rather, He gave them a prayer. The result is a simple, easy-to remember, pocket size prayer. Therefore, prayer, necessarily does not mean a month-long retreat or even hours of meditation. Prayer is conversation with God while driving to work, in a train, or waiting for appointment, according to Max Lucado, prayer can be the internal voice that directs the external action. Prayer is simply a heartfelt conversation between God and His child. Matthew 6:5-6, Luke 18:10-14.

Importance of Prayer The importance of prayer cannot hence be overemphasized since it is a communication between God and His child - Note the word HIS CHILD – 2 Chronicles 7:14. In addition to the fact that prayer changes us (NOT GOD), protects, brings breakthrough in life, delivers and set free, let’s consider the importance of prayer from the bible passages below. 1 Corinthians 5:20, 3:9 John 17:20 Jeremiah 29:11 Hebrews 11:6, John 17:9 Matthew 26:40-41 Ephesians 6:12-13 John 17:15-17 Psalms 103: 7

Importance of Prayer Prayer has so many advantages and is really that simple. We don’t have to complicate it. Just as a child communicates with his father, so we can boldly, as children of God communicate with him. Revelation 3: 20 says “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person and they with me”. He is knocking, even as we talk. All we need is to open the door of our heart for the benefit we would derived from communicating with Him.
