Today you’re going to learn how to do some research to find accurate and reliable information to answer some of those questions. Then you’ll present your findings to the class. Ask and Discuss Where could you look to find accurate answers to this question?

Government publications and websites Publications and websites of professional health organization Health-related encyclopedias Articles and research in professional journals Health teacher or PE teacher School nurse, physician or other health care provider

5 questions – help you find accurate and reliable information Same questions used to evaluate books, pamphlets, mags, radio, and TV Explain You’ll choose a question that interests you and be given time to answer, using reliable resources. You’ll share the source of your information and explain how you know it’s reliable and valid. You‘ll have 3 minutes to make your presentation.

Be sure to write down the sources of your information and explain how you know these are reliable and valid. Take notes then plan and prepare your 3-minute presentation.
