Summary of Text Allegory: An extended metaphor
The Rabbits tell the reader the colonisation story in Australia. The Rabbits are aggressive as they take over The Bilbies’ land.

Start The land is vibrant with colours. It is at peace – unharmed. The world is pure. The colour of the sky: SYMBOLISM - Heaven / Confidence / Tranquillity / Softness.

White Birds – Purity, Safety, Perfection and Innocence – the landscape cannot be contained as the birds fly around. Freedom.
