General George Smith Patton.

Biography Born: November 8, 1887 in San Gabriel, CA.
Died: December 21, 1945. U.S. army officer- commanded machinegun platoon 15th cavalry. His nick name everyone called him was “Old blood and guts”.

Biography Patton fought in the Mexican Expedition, World War 1, and 2.
He was awarded the Purple heart, bronze star, legion of merit, and the silver star.

Patton Patton commanded both corps and armies as a general in North Africa, Sicily, and the European Theater of Operations. Patton participated in the unsuccessful attempt to capture Pancho Villa in In World War I, he was a senior commander of the new United States Tank Corps and saw action in France.

Education Patton attended Virginia Military Institute for one year, where he rushed VMI's chapter of the Kappa Alpha Order. He then transferred to the United States Military Academy. Graduating in 1909 and receiving his commission as a cavalry officer.
