Italian Reflexive Verbs
Reflexive verbs, generally, are verbs in which the subject and the object are the same; in English, you use the reflexive pronouns myself, yourself, himself, etc Examples: Lavarsi (reflexive verb) Lavare( not reflexive)

**Reflexive verbs always take essere, never avere in the passato prossimo. *Example alzarsi: to get up (passato prossimo) SINGOLARE PLURALE *Io mi sono alzato(a) Noi ci siamo alzati(e) *Tu ti sei alzato(a) Voi vi siete alzati(e) *Lui/Lei si è alzato(a) Loro si sono alzati(e)

I Verbi Riflessivi **If the infinitive is preceded by a form of dovere, potere, volere, the reflexive pronouns can either precede the conjugated verb or be attached to the infinitive. noi vogliamo alzarci = noi ci vogliamo alzare non devi fermarti = non ti devi fermare
