4 The Fire Division operates two stations staffed 24 hours a day.

9 What we do The Fire Rescue Division responds to fires, medical emergencies, and rescue incidents. We also provide fire safety education to the local schools and daycare facilities.

10 What we do We provide battery operated smoke alarms when requested.
Fire Division personnel conduct pre-fire plans on all businesses. Test and maintain all fire hydrants within the city.

11 Call Statistics 2017 305 Fire Incidents 464 Medical Responses
41 Rescue Incidents 810 Total responses for that year

13 Training Every firefighter completes required training each year in the following: 192 Hr. Fire Related Training 12 Hr. Driver Training Technical Rescue Training 8 Hr. Hazardous Material Training

14 Additional Training Fire Officers ( Lieutenants and Captain) must complete additional 12 hours of officer training. All Emergency Medical Technicians complete 40 hours of medical training every two years to maintain their certifications.

15 Where are we going 2019 – Hire 2 additional firefighters
& 1 Training Lieutenant Complete an Insurance Services Office (ISO) Inspection Plan for the future construction of Station # 3 on the North side of Wrightsboro Rd. possibly in the area of Whiskey Rd.

Replace Breathing Apparatus to the 2018 standard

Who we are? The Law Enforcement Division operates one station and two zones, staffed 24 hours a day. Station 1 306 E. Robinson Ave. Rated 6th Safest city in the State of Georgia

Traffic Control Respond to calls for service Business Security checks House Watches Concentrated patrols C.I.D.: Investigate crimes Obtain arrest & search warrants Surveil drug activities Prepare case files for District Attorney’s Office Communications: Dispatch Calls to Police & Fire Departments Maintain records for annual state audit Records: Provide police reports in accordance with the Open Records Act Provide Uniform Crime Reports (UCR) to the state of Georgia Provide citizen background checks What we do

20 Hr. of Law Enforcement Training Firearms Qualifications: Pistol Long Rifle Shotgun To maintain powers of Arrest: Use of Force De-escalation Community Relations Governor's Initiatives 2017: (MANDATORY) Mandatory Annual Training: Security & Integrity Taser Sexual Harassment Domestic Violence Vehicle Pursuit Training

20 hours of training from Georgia Chief’s of Police Association 5 Additional hours for: Weapons Qualifications (1 hour) “Governor’s Initiative” Use of Force (1 hour) De-escalation (1 hour) Community Policing (2 hours)

29 Where are we going 2019 Continue the process towards State Certification (<3 % of Ga agencies possess this certification) Add a full-time Communications Supervisor Position Purchase 2 patrol vehicles to replace aging fleet Replace police canine
