He is behind EVERYTHING that occurs
A flaw in the theology of individuals in the Book of Job comes from the idea that (because God is sovereign) He is behind EVERYTHING that occurs in the world…neglecting the existence of Satan & demons, human free will, and a sin-stained Creation.

While spending many chapters arguing with his friends about the source of his pain; Job gains increasing clarity on some key issues: The sovereign power of God The goodness & justice of God The faithfulness of his own heart

Job 12: 13-16 “With God are wisdom and might;
He has counsel and understanding. If He tears down, none can rebuild; if He shuts a man in, none can open. If He withholds the waters, they dry up; if He sends them out, they overwhelm the land. With Him are strength and wisdom; the deceived and the deceiver are His.”

Job 28: 12-13, 23 “Where shall wisdom be found? And where is the place of understanding? Man does not know the way to it, and it is not found in the land of the living God understands the way to it, and He knows its place.”

Isaiah 43: 1-2 1 “But now, this is what the Lord says— He who created you, Jacob, He who formed you, Israel: ‘Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. 2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.’”

“So then, those who suffer according to
1 Peter 4:19 “So then, those who suffer according to God’s Will should commit themselves to their faithful Creator and continue to do good.”

From the beginning of The Bible, God has “worked” the bad decisions
of humanity, the attacks of Satan, and the curse of fallen Creation all to tell the Great Story of Redemption.
