2 General Information The curriculum bulletin is available at & Thinks about the courses you still need for graduation and for your post-secondary plans University vs. Community College Career Choose your courses carefully because schedule changes for BOTH SEMESTERS will be addressed at summer drop/add ONLY Schedule changes are limited because of conflicts in the master schedule, enrollment numbers and graduation requirements. Some course offerings may not be scheduled because of low enrollment. In this case, alternate selections made by the student during registration will be used. Pick alternates that you want to take.

3 Minimum Graduation Requirements
Earn 26 credits including the following: Four (4) courses in English Four (4) units in Math including Math I, Math II, Math III, and one additional math Four (4) units in Science including a Physical Science, Biology, Earth/Environmental Science, and one additional science Four (4) units in Social Studies including Civics and Economics, American History I and II, and World History. One (1) unit in Healthful Living (H/PE) Nine (9) elective units – 6 specials (CTE, Arts, Foreign Lang, etc.) & 3 other (any, including PE2 & Weight Training)

4 Tips for Registering You may NOT sign up for an upper level course (EX. Level 2/3 or Intermediate/Advanced) without taking the prerequisite level(s) Honors Course Requirement – 90 or higher in prerequisite standard level course or 80 or higher in prerequisite honors course AP Course Requirement – 80 or higher in prerequisite honors course or completion of prerequisite AP Course If you are interested in taking Journalism or AFROTC Teamwork, please see Mrs. McPhail or Col. Stine for application procedures and enter an alternate elective at this time If you are interested in taking an NCVPS course, please place and alternate elective onyour form and sign the interest sheet before you leave Online only Application required If you are interested in taking a CCP course, please select Community College as an elective choice and sign the interest sheet before you leave More information on next slide

5 CCP Classes Dual enrollment program partnered with Craven Community College Students who are successful will earn high school and college credit (tuition FREE) For rising Juniors and Seniors ONLY Application required Min. 3.0 GPA for college transfer/ Min. 2.5 GPA for CTE pathway ACT score or placement test required Must complete Craven Community College online application Courses available on WCH Campus, Online, and on Craven Community College’s Campus (spring) Seniors who take all CCP courses in the spring must take a minimum of two courses (one must be on a campus) Early grads will not be able to take CCP courses in the spring; if you sign the early grad confirmation letter, you MAY NOT change your mind and elect to take CCP courses in the spring See Mrs. Ranieri if you have questions and to submit applications

19 Senior Information “Early Release” can only be selected during the 2nd semester of your Senior year unless you plan to graduate in January 2019 (Early Grad) Ex.) If I plan to graduate in January 2019, then I can choose ER during my 1st semester Ex.) If I am graduating in June 2019, then I have to choose 4 classes during my 1st semester and at least 2 classes during my 2nd semester You must have your own transportation to get ER and also complete forms from Counseling Department
