Support for Teachers Teachers choose content text each day. Teachers choose either Duet reading, Echo reading, or Partner reading each day. Frequency: Every day (6 classes per day) Duration: 5 minutes per class (30 min./day) During PLCs, instructional coaches taught teachers each of the interventions. Instructional coaches modeled interventions. Volunteer teachers were recorded doing each intervention. Videos were shared via PLCs.

9 What you may hear…

10 Classwide Intervention
We see all students make gains on skills taught during classwide intervention. Some students’ time will be wasted.

11 Classwide Intervention
Did you select relevant and interesting material? Can you differentiate within the intervention? Are teacher-student relationships strong? What about peer support for school? Some students say it’s boring

12 Classwide Intervention
You should do that, too! Students in Grade X today need to be supported, too. Why don’t we just improve Tier 1?

13 What are your three takeaways from today?
