2. What are Themes? A theme is a main idea expressed throughout the text.
For example:
Rebellion and Friendship are themes from Harry Potter
Heroism and Evil are themes from Deadpool, Dr. Strange, Iron Man and any other superhero film/comic/graphic novel.
Survival in The Walking Dead.

3. What is Race?
According to Webster, it is “each of the major divisions of humankind, having distinct physical characteristics”.
In other words, race is how we divide ourselves as people, based on physical looks and nationality.
Ex: African American, Asian, Caucasian,
Hispanic, Middle Eastern and Native American.

This is when people believe that certain races possess certain physical and mental characteristics, and that some characteristics are more superior than others.
Racism is often founded in stereotypes and prejudices.
Can lead to violence and even death.
