WHY do we have a building code?
… we have the building code in order to PROMOTE PUBLIC SAFETY via uniform building standards
… and also to provide access to all
In Ontario, the building code was implemented in:
1975
First Canadian Place in Toronto was built in the same year

Did you know that any word that you see written in italics can be found in this section?
FOR EXAMPLE:
Roof gutter means an exterior channel installed at the base of a sloped roof to convey storm sewage.
Storm sewage means water that is discharged from a surface as a result of rainfall, snow melt or snowfall.
