Applied courses -- Leads to College Prep courses in Gr. 11 & 12
Focuses on the foundational concepts of a subject as it relates to them and their surroundings
Uses concrete examples, hands on learning
Academic courses -- Leads to University Prep courses in Gr. 11 & 12
Theoretical concepts and applications, learning is extended
Uses abstract examples, deeper understanding
Essentials/Locally Developed -- Workplace courses in Gr. 11 & 12
Enables students to broaden their understanding as it applies to the workplace/daily life. Students need additional instruction, benefit from smaller class size
