Faith that is based on emotions does not save.  
Faith that is pious but not practical does not save.

He said we will know true followers by the “fruit” they bear.  We will see faith in the way the person lives.

In Matthew 21 Jesus told a parable about two sons.  One son agreed to do a task but didn’t do it.  The other son whined and complained but did do what his father asked.  Jesus points out that it was the son that did the task that truly obeyed the father.

How can we ensure that our faith affects our daily life?

26. Do a self-evaluation. If someone accused you of being a Christian, is there enough evidence to convict you?

Father, I know that there are so many times that I give you lip service only. I talk the talk but neglect to walk the walk. Forgive me for my hypocrisy. Holy Spirit, help me live as Jesus lived, in Spirit and in truth. AMEN
