6. Besides the school-wide rules, this class has only one other rule:
SHOW RESPECT!

7. We follow a basic schedule
The year is divided into 8 units – about 4 weeks each
Hand out Unit Cover Page and I-Can checklist on first day – tape into composition notebook / tab
Warm-up section comes next in notebook. Start each entry with a date in the margin. Make sure to write correct answer
Write in notebook EVERY day – participation points

8. We follow a basic schedule
Unit notebook due and scored on last day of unit
Pick ONE mastery project (homework) and present to class near end of unit. Do extra for more points.
Online Moodle test done at home by end of unit. Three tries to get best score – open note/open Internet

10. Late work is possible, but not advisable
Late work is possible, but not advisable. You will lose preparation points unless prior arrangements have been made. . Online tests can be taken up to three times BEFORE the deadline. . Late Mastery Projects may be presented with an appointment with the teacher. You will lose preparation points unless prior arrangements have been made.

11. How can you make-up points / earn extra?
Go to the blog, find the assignment you missed, do it. (Various points)
Complete extra mastery project (homework) options. (Various points)
Read a book. Complete a Science Book Report. (30 points)
Complete a “Science is Everywhere” vacation report. (20 points)
Complete a “Science of Sickness” report if you were ill. (20 points)

12. Bring your supplies to work EVERY day
These MUST be in class every day for your personal use:
Several pencils and 1 red colored pen
Composition Notebook
Calculator
D. Clear Tape E. Sharpie Marker F. Scissors
