While the exact date of the birth of Jesus is not known.  Tradition has it celebrated on Dec. 25th. According to the Christian Bible, Mary and Joseph were Jesus' earthly parents. #3  Christmas Eve, Dec. 24th many people attend church services to celebrate the birth of Jesus.

A legend says when a poor boy went to church with green branches and he laid them beside the Christ Child, a red star-shaped flower bloomed.
