Synchronized SIAs activities
Cross Border Coordination His Excellency public health Minister of Afghanistan and PAK had launched NIDs at Turkham border in Dec2006 Synchronized SIAs activities Both country are sharing data and cross notification of AFP cases Conducting regular cross border meeting Provincial and regional teams are participating in the meeting Constitution of 14 permanent vaccination teams at the borders

Cross Border Meeting Agreed Points
Update 1-Formal permission for Cross Border monitoring To be discussed with authority 2-Vaccinating leaving and checking entering targets. -Done and on going. -2 teams were added for checking entering targets 3-Mark the thumb (not little finger) after vaccination Done and on going 4-One team to be recruited at Kama Daka during SIAs from Afghanistan side 5-One new team to be assigned in lower Dir at Benshahie crossing point from Pakistan side Update is needed 6-Shared coverage compilation and supervision checklist formats Not finalized yet 7-All Lalpoora border villages (Palusai, Much megai, Mengawer, Renaw, Parchaw, Shaheebagh, Senda kaney) to be covered by Afghan side (Lalpour district team) as in the previous SIAs 8-Border village lists, maps and separate coverage to be presented 9-Next meeting will be conducted on the first week of April 2007 in Jalalabad city of Nangarhar province Afghanistan Held in Jalalabad on May 15th 2007
