2 There are three main ways of talking about the future. You can say:
I will work late tomorrow. = “Will future” I am working late tomorrow. = present continuous I am going to work late tomorrow. = 'going to' + verb 2

3 'I will work late tomorrow.'
WILL FUTURE: It is made using WILL followed by the bare infinitive (WILL+infinitive) 'I will work late tomorrow.' SHALL is also used to make proposals (only with 1st person singular and plural) ‘Shall we go to the cinema? Note that 'will' and 'shall' are often shortened. ‘It'll break if you drop it. ‘ 3

4 USES OF WILL: We use WILL future to express the following things:
Predictions: It will rain tomorrow. Promises: I promise I will buy you a bicycle for your birthday. Threats: If you don’t come here I’ll ground you! On the spot decissions: I think I’ll have a salad. Invariable facts: My birthday will be next month. 4

5 The ‘GOING TO’ future is composed by:
TO BE + GOING TO + BARE INFINITIVE I am going to make a party. She isn’t going to cook today. Are you going to play football this evening? 5

6 What are you going to do this evening?
GOING TO FUTURE 'Going to' future is used to talk about plans. It suggests that something is decided. What are you going to do this evening? I'm going to watch a film on TV. I think it's going to rain.  He's going to play football. 6

7 'I am working late tomorrow.' A time expression should be included.
PRESENT CONTINUOUS: You can use the present continuous when you are making plans. It's useful to talk about definite arrangements in the near future, as in the example above : 'I am working late tomorrow.' A time expression should be included. What time are you leaving tomorrow? I'm leaving at 8 O'clock. 7
