2. Discipleship
To be a disciple is to follow Jesus in each moment, each situation, in every aspect of our life.
Being a disciple is not always an easy thing to do.

3. Scripture Activity
Read the following Scripture passages and then explain how each passage conveys discipleship. Write your ideas in your notebook.
Passages:
Matthew 9:35-38
Matthew 10: 1-31

4. Matthew 9: 35-38 Being a disciple is like being a laborer.
Disciples do the work of the Lord.
Disciples help maintain God’s harvest (creation).
Disciples spread the good news of God’s Kingdom and provide healing.

5. Matthew 10: 1-31
Disciples were given healing powers (eg. Acting as exorcists, healing illnesses, etc.).
Disciples must find the “lost sheep” and proclaim the good news (“the kingdom is near”).
They must not accept a monetary reward.
Disciples should look for righteous people.
It is important that disciples not dwell on those who reject them.
The Holy Spirit works through the disciples.
The disciples will be saved if they stay faithful.
Disciples are like teachers.
Evil must be avoided.
