Cover five counties (Calhoun, Holmes, Jackson, Liberty and Washington) The vast majority of our funds are federal Controlled by a 19 member board Majority must be from the private sector Chair and Vice-Chair must be private sector

8 Those Tricky Numbers Month Labor Force Employed Unemployed
Unemployed Percentage 2010 18,938 17,214 1,724 9.1% 2015 17,258 16,252 1,006 5.8% Difference -1,680 -962 -718 -3.3% Despite the fact that fewer people are employed the unemployment rate decreased because of the drop in the size of the labor force. 15 Labor Force Changes During this same period of time Leon County had a labor force decrease of 1,626 and an employment increase of 2,899. UC went from 7.9% to 5.0%
