Introduction The Cal Kit is a S/W utility that performs TWO functions: “Frequnecy Alignment” and “Calibration” Frequency Alignment: Sets Tx & Rx VCO’s to required switching range Tunes receiver front end to required frequency band Only the reciter requires adjustments. Simple and fast to perform. Only require a Calibration Test Box (CTU) Calibration: Used to setup critical operational parameters to meet product specifications ONLY required after component or PCB assembly replacement Should never be required over a normal life time, ‘factory only’ process Guarantees value accuracy of configuration S/W settings and measurments Sets Audio levels, RSSI, VCO / Modulation flatness, PA output power etc Complicated and requires minutes & Test set for a full re-calibration TB8100 Calibration Kit

Introduction These TABs have been provided to allow servicing of the products They should only be used when there is a major problem with the Reciter, PA or PMU. You may be asked to perform a re-calibration due to firmware upgrade / downgrade requirements. This TAB allows the adjustment of the Reciter VCO’s and Receiver Front end. TB8100 Calibration Kit
