3. What?
Banner 9 Student was installed on June 10th and will be released to all Banner users in early July.
Banner 9 will provide a more modern and user-friendly experience. Changes are generally cosmetic in nature and all Banner functionality will remain intact.

4. Why?
Vendor support for the current version of Banner (Banner 8) terminates at the end of 2018, making the move to Banner 9 a necessity.
Banner 8 will no longer be available at UNH/GSC as of October 31st

5. Banner 9 Benefits Improved User Experience
Modern web user interface with standard controls
Shorter learning curve for occasional users
Enhanced usability and navigation for power users
Ability to run in any modern browser
For the best performance avoid using IE (Internet Explorer). Users of Xtender will still need to use IE until it is upgraded.

8. Getting to Banner 9
Be sure you’re logged into the VPN. Go to my.unh.edu Use your AD password. It’s no longer a separate password to remember.

13. Tips Don’t use IE – it’s an old browser
For now, IE is still needed for Xtender if you need to annotate, scan, or print documents
Do not use forward and back buttons on browser
If you’re not where you expect, click the Home icon on left menu to take you to the Landing Page
To make searches quicker, use “Starts With” or “Equals”. It may also help to make the search a “Case Sensitive Query” if that option is available.

14. Known Issues
Don’t open Banner 9 until you’re ready to use a Page (formerly Form). You may be signed out if you don’t go to a Page.
Xtender requires IE and an additional sign-in. See:
