PARIS AGREEMENT: AUSTRALIA’S TARGET
2020 target: reducing emissions by 5% below 2000 levels 2030 target: reducing emissions by 26-28% below 2005 levels Australian emissions Mt CO2 per sector in 2017 How can biofuels help? Additional benefits: Stronger fuel security (reduction of our reliance on imported fuels by up to 18%) Creation of over 8,000 direct and indirect jobs Generation of $1.1 billion of additional revenue for rural and regional communities Attraction of $1.56 billion of investment - Reduction in total GHG emissions by 8.9 million tonnes CO2 - 26% decrease of vehicle exhaust particulate emissions

Australia Fuel Sales by Type Merchant shipping routes around the world Merchant shipping - Approx 80% of international trade, with >85,000 registered vessels - The industry consumes 330 Mt of marine fuel a year, of which 77% is heavy fuel - Accounts for 2-3% of global CO2, 4-9% of SOx, and 10-15% of NOx emissions
