WTCS-16 Technical Colleges
There are 16 Technical Colleges across Wisconsin. You may have heard of some such as Moraine Park, MATC, NWTC, or Fox Valley Tech. If there is a program offered, there is a need for jobs to be filled in the location.

Lakeshore Technical College
LTC is one of the 16 technical colleges in Wisconsin. Located in Cleveland, Wisconsin, close to home between Sheboygan and Manitowoc.

Educational Opportunities
Courses Personal Enrichment Community Education Certificates Job or Skill Training Technical Diploma Years Extensive job skill training Associate Degree - 2+ Years Extensive job training and general education courses Can be first step towards earning a Bachelor’s Degree Courses: Taking individual courses for a program or for personal interest/growth (Gardening, Team building) Certificates: Learning a new skill for a specific job in a series of classes, usually 2-10 credits (Intro to Industrial Maintenance, Human Resources Basics) Technical Diploma: Specific job, can be one or two-year programs (CNA or EMT is short, Welding is longer) Associate Degree: General Education courses include Intro to Psychology, Sociology, etc.

Hands-On Learning Who here knows they are a kinesthetic learner? While LTC does use visual and auditory teaching components, there is a kinesthetic emphasis. Consider this a priority factor if you are a tactile/hands-on learner Instructors with real world experience working directly in the industry who care about teaching and student learning and are connected with area employers. 8:1 student:faculty ratio

Employability LTC knows the high-demand career areas. If there is a program, it is because there is a job demand in the Sheboygan or Manitowoc County area. We have a 91% employment rate, 9 out of 10 graduates are employed within 6 months of graduation, and many students are offered jobs in their fields before they even graduate.

Financial Aid Options FAFSA Scholarships through LTC Foundation
Free Application for Federal Student Aid Grants & Loans Apply at Scholarships through LTC Foundation foundation/schola rship/ Financial Aid Options FAFSA: Regardless of where you plan to go to college, filling out the online FAFSA form is a great first-step, open to any college student. Go online and answer a series of questions which will determine if you are aid-eligible. Scholarships: LTC offers a variety of scholarships through the LTC Foundation. Based on criteria set by scholarship donors, the LTC Foundation Scholarship Committee determines which students are eligible for each award and then chooses award winners based on qualifications, answers to questions on the application and the recommendation form.

Dual Credit Options (Taking classes at LTC or your high school) Youth/Course Options (Sophomores, Juniors & Seniors) Youth Apprenticeship (Juniors & Seniors) LTC’s Early College Academy (Seniors) Transcripted Credit/Advanced Standing Ask your school counselor for more information Campus Tour/Class Shadow Think of it this way…taking one 3-credit course out-of-pocket would cost you around $420. If you’re able to take 2 courses during high school, earning 6 credits, you just saved almost $900, and you have your high school to thank for that.

How to Apply for Admission
Choose your program Submit your: Application & $30 application fee High school (& college) transcripts ACT and/or Accuplacer scores Background Information Disclosure form & $16 processing fee (if required for program) Meet with your academic advisor Applications can be found online. You can fill it out electronically, or print, fill out, and mail to LTC.
