He studied in the University of Missouri, literature.
He has won The World Fantasy Award for the lifetime achievement, science fiction hall of fame in 2010.
His greatest book were “I am Legend”, “The shrinking man” and the “Bid time return”.

4. Short Summary
This story is about the last men on earth, Robert Neville. A virus starts to spread and medicine cant find a cure fast enough to stop it. The people that got infected with the plague died and came back as a vampire. Robert struggle through his life, fighting his mind, body and environment. At the end he found out that vampires has evolved and they were creating a new society.

5. Characters
Robert Neville: Main character, the only human alive, tall, white and a blue eyes man.
Ben Cortman: Roberts neighbor, now a vampire.
Virginia Neville: Robert’s wife.
Kathy: Robert’s daughter.
Ruth: a representative of the new vampire race, she fall in love with Robert.
The dog: a wounded dog that Robert tries to be friend with.

6. 3 problems that Robert Neville has during the book
In chapter 5 Robert Neville arrives late to his house and find himself in a fight with the vampires.
Before chapter 2 he narrate how he lost his family.
He discovers that bullets don’t affect vampires.

8. Correlation
The tittle of the novel is related to it because Robert Neville really is a legend. He lives everyday fighting the vampires and fighting his own mind. He is a Legend because all the human kind could get infected except him. He was immune because of a bite of a bat. He survive the plague, loneliness and vampires.

9. I am legend
This novel is different from other novels that we have read, because in this one, the author is really explicit with everything that happens. Besides, it talks about nocturnal creatures that are determinate to destroy Robert Neville. We have never read a novel about this topic of vampires and the end of human races and the beginning of a new civilization.

10. Alternative Ending
Robert creates an antidote for those who were in a coma so with that they can fight the infection and regenerate their human cells and become completely normal. Robert take a house as a hospital and tied vampires bodies with the antidote serum in 24 hours the body was cured. In five years human were taking its normal course again.
