Who are we? Home Again is a non-profit organization aiming to end furniture poverty in the northeast Avalon.

What do we do? Home Again collects gently-used donations from individuals and businesses, and delivers these items to individuals and families in need.

Why do we exist? 2010 Streets to Homes needs assessment
2013 Survey of 155 individuals struggling with housing issues and found that only: - 14% had a dining table with chairs - 44% had a bed - 12% had a couch or chair 2015 Home Again Furniture Bank was established to respond to the demonstrated need

Who do we serve? Home Again serves the most vulnerable citizens in our region. Those transitioning from: situations of abuse homelessness prison war We also serve: the un- and under-employed individuals with disabilities

How do we operate? Home Again works in partnership with local agencies, organizations and faith communities. referral form sent the client is added to our request list - first come, first served the earliest possible delivery based on inventory Furniture Friday volunteer teams deliver and collect donated items

Our Impact in less than 1 Year
220 Households are now furnished. 70+ Volunteers have helped make a difference. 30+ Partner Agencies and Organizations refer clients to us. 200+ Donors have benefitted from our pick-up service. 90 Tonnes of furniture diverted from local landfills.
