Digital inspection method utilises an iPad and an app called iAuditor:
Paperless
A system in place to provide consistency and reduce subjectiveness
Focus on high risk areas
Reporting is more efficient
Turn around report quicker
Less likely go over budget

PDF or Word files can be a standalone report
Can be issued on site as preliminary
Can be an appendix with brief cover report
CSV files can be used to populate client spreadsheet templates

Standardise planning method:
Compiling site HSE documents, check for currency
Upload desktop review findings (e.g. extract key machine book information)
Adjust iAuditor template to suit (e.g. create prompts for critical areas)

Beneficial to have iPad on site

Record repetitive observations (e.g. wheel wear measurements)
Could run calculations on the spot (e.g. compare weighing results with design)
